Turmeric, the common name, Haldi, is mainly produced in South Asian countries. Turmeric (Curcuma longa root) has been used medicinally as well as for its coloring and flavoring properties for thousands of years. This has primarily been used in the East. In India, it is a favorite spice for curry and is a household remedy. Turmeric oil also has many anti-viral and anti-inflammatory elements and is an effective pain reliever. It also can even out skin tone, reduce imperfections, and lighten hair. In addition to this, it can stimulate the mind and improve mood.
Extraction:
Turmeric oil is extracted by steam distilling the turmeric root. The oil is yellow in color and has fresh, spicy aroma.

Sesquiterpene alcohol 50%, Zingeriberene and other Sesquiterpene hydrocarbons 30%, d-a-phellandrene 4%, Cineol 3%, d-sabinene 2%, d-borneol 2.5%, Valeric acid 0.1%
