Importance of First-Aid
A Lovely Monday Morning to you all!
Do you know…….. The Dictionary meaning of Emergency aid (First-Aid) is the treatment given to someone injured, suddenly ill, etc., before regular professional medical services arrive or can be reached. First Aid skills can be applied at home, the workplace or in public locations, therefore for a safer community, It is always beneficial to have more First Aid certified people.
When injury is life threatening; like any type of trauma, stroke, or heart attack, conventional medical treatment is necessary, but if not life threatening, there are often simple natural remedies that will help to ease the symptoms. Many of these remedies are available in the
comfort of home rather than going to doctor’s office or clinic. It’s hard to overestimate the importance of First-Aid. Five important reasons to receive First-Aid training:
- Increases safety: The basis of first aid training is “prevention” and the knowledge promote the sense of safety and well-being amongst people.
- Helps save lives: The trained person can administer immediate help in case of an emergency (any casualty) in his/her vicinity. By being able to provide basic care, can stabilize a patient until emergency medical services arrive.
- Helps relieve pain: Some injuries require a very simple solution like applying ice pack or a quick rub that can help reduce the pain temporarily.
- Makes people more secure: The sense of security promotes a healthy and a more confident environment around you. In the presence of a First-Aid trained person, people feel more secure and reassured.
- Prevents the situation from becoming worse: A trained person would know how to provide temporary treatment which will keep the condition of the victim from deteriorating, till professional help arrives.
